FIA detains Sarim Burney from Karachi airport

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested renowned social activist Sarim Burney from Karachi airport.
According to sources inside the agency, there were very serious allegations against Sarim Burney, and his movement was being monitored for a very long time.
Sources further said that as soon as Burney arrived at the Jinnah international airport from the USA today (Wednesday), the FIA team arrested him.
He was detained by the FIA Anti-Human and Trafficking team.
They revealed that the action was taken on the complaint by the US government.
He is accused of illegally sending more than 25 children to the US, the sources said.
It is being told that at different times the children were handed over to The Sarem Burney Trust in Karachi, he and his trust illegally sent the children to the United States.
FIA officials said that 17 children have been smuggled into the United States so far. An investigation has been started in the matter.
