Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit has landed herself in hot waters after partnering with Pakistani promoter Rehan Siddiqui from Houston.
The upcoming event scheduled to take place in Houston in August has stirred controversy due alleged connections with Pakistani intelligence and being banned by the Indian Government.
Moreover, a photo from Social media user Sunanda Vashisht added fuel to the fire when he uploaded the picture of the Bollywood actor and Rehan.
The timing of the announcement after India’s Independence Day only made matter worst.
Netizens have urged the iconic actor to withdraw from the deal citing the aforementioned reasons among others.
For several years, Indian police have been keeping Rehan Siddiqui’s activities in check.
Earlier, BJP Minister Kishan Reddy had written a latter revealed that Siddiqui had been officially blacklisted by the Indian government.
Despite this fact, Madhuri didn’t hesitate to work together with him, which made her fans and the public express their dismay.
There have been no comments made so far by her regarding these issues.
