Iran Warns of Decisive Response to Any New Hostility

Iran’s air defense chief Brigadier General Alireza Elhami has warned that the Islamic Republic will respond decisively to any renewed hostility, amid a fresh wave of military confrontation with the United States. He said Iran’s enemies would face a severe response if they made what he described as a mistake.
Elhami’s remarks came hours after the United States carried out attacks on Iranian military positions on the southern island of Larak. Iran subsequently responded by targeting US assets in the region, marking a renewed exchange of fire following previous attacks and retaliatory Iranian missile and drone operations against US bases.
The commander said Iran’s air defense force had unveiled several new interception systems in recent days, adding that the domestically developed weapons were produced using experience gained during the US-Israeli aggression against Iran that ended with a ceasefire in mid-April.
Elhami said the unveiling of the new systems conveyed an important message to Iran’s adversaries, while stressing that Tehran would keep details about its indigenous weapons confidential to ensure their effective use. He added that the systems were intended only for Iran’s enemies, emphasizing that Tehran maintained friendly and peaceful relations with neighboring and regional countries.
