Atta Tarar Vows to Eliminate Terrorism, Criticizes KP Government

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said Kohat was in mourning following the martyrdom of security personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He paid tribute to the soldiers and police personnel who took part in the operation, saying their courage and commitment to defending the country were commendable. He also praised the spirit of wounded personnel receiving treatment at CMH.

Tarar said the armed forces and police officers and personnel participated in the operation with bravery and determination. He vowed that the government and the people would work together to eliminate what he called the “menace of terrorism,” stressing that the sacrifices of security personnel would not be forgotten.

The information minister also criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, alleging that he spent only 15 minutes flying over Kohat by helicopter before leaving, while accusing him of being in Lahore for political point-scoring. Tarar said the PTI-led provincial government only knew how to post messages on social media and warned that armed groups would not be allowed to march toward Islamabad.
