Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Calls for More Administrative Units in Pakistan

MQM-P Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that Pakistan’s population is growing rapidly and the country needs a greater number of administrative units. He said Karachi’s people had come onto the streets despite obstacles and what he described as propaganda, adding that the recent MQM rally represented a “public referendum.”

Siddiqui said the people of Karachi had made history through their participation in the rally and argued that the time had come to end dynastic governments and hereditary politics. He also criticized what he termed “feudal democracy,” saying Pakistan could not have a future under such a system.

Calling for administrative reforms, Siddiqui said Pakistan should have as many administrative units as necessary to address the needs of its growing population. He emphasized that the creation of additional administrative units could be part of a broader debate over governance and the effective delivery of public services.
