Police confirm arrest of Raoof Hasan from PTI Secretariat

Islamabad Police have detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Raoof Hasan in the federal capital.
Earlier there were reports that PTI leaders Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and Information Secretary Raoof Hasan were both arrested.
According to GTV, a heavy contingent of police surrounded the secretariat from where PTI spokesman was arrested.
Women police were also present outside the PTI secretariat.
Islamabad Police have also taken the journalists mobile phones, who were making footages of the arrest, sources said.
On the other hand, the Islamabad Police did not reveal the police’s stand on the case in which the two leaders were arrested.
The opposition party slammed the law enforcers and said they were disregarding the law.
“It’s absolutely shameful how Islamabad Police continues to completely mock and disregard every law in this country. Law of the jungle is reigning over Pakistan!” PTI said in a statement on X.
Police sources said that Raoof Hasan had been arrested from PTI’s Central Secretariat for heading a digital media cell involved in running anti-Pakistan propaganda.
