Audio Leak Reveals Terrorists’ Plan to Target Population
An alleged audio leak has revealed a plan by foreign-backed militants to target civilians and spread fear among the local population.
In the leaked audio, the militants reportedly discuss using quadcopters to target innocent children, women and elderly people.
The audio allegedly features militants identified as Rahmat and Fateh discussing plans to attack civilian homes with quadcopters.
The militants can also reportedly be heard discussing receiving quadcopter training to carry out their plans.
Video evidence of quadcopter training has also reportedly been recovered from phones seized from members of Fitna al-Khawarij.
The militants have allegedly used quadcopters to target populated areas in Azam Warsak, Toi Khulla and Ghwakhwa in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to security analysts, the leaked conversation indicates that the militants are pursuing a strategy of targeting civilians to create fear and panic.
Analysts said the militants are targeting soft targets after suffering setbacks in clashes with security forces.
They further claimed that the availability of modern quadcopter technology among the militants points to external support and alleged links involving India and the Afghan Taliban.
