‘Dhoom 4’ to reunite Ranbir, Shraddha Kapoor?
Yash Raj Films (YRF) is reviving its iconic action franchise with ‘Dhoom 4’, starring Ranbir Kapoor in a negative role.
Shraddha Kapoor is reportedly set to join Ranbir as the leading lady, following their successful collaboration in ‘Tu Jhoothi, Main Makkaar’.
According to sources, ‘Dhoom 4’ is in pre-production, with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra not reprising their original roles.
Instead, two new-age stars will join Ranbir in the rebooted franchise.
Netizens have expressed mixed reactions to Shraddha’s casting, with some suggesting Deepika Padukone or Triptii Dimri would be better fits for an action film.
“Tripti will be a better choice. Ranbir x Tripti pair in Animal was more iconic than TJMM,” one user noted.
However, Shraddha fans defend the development, hoping for a strong, well-developed female villain role. “If they make Shraddha a good villain, that would be so awesome for a change,” another user commented.
The film is expected to begin production by the end of 2025 or early 2026. Director and other cast members have not been officially announced.
