Twelve soldiers martyred, six Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists killed in Bannu: ISPR

Twelve soldiers were martyred in a suicide attack in Bannu, says Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Pakistan military’s media wing said in a statement that terrorists rammed their vehicle laden with explosives into the checkpost in Malikhel area of Bannu. As a result, twelve soldiers were martyred. In a retaliation fire, Pak Army soldiers killed six Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists.

It said that the terrorist’s attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by the soldiers.

Those martyred in the attack included 10 Pak Army soldiers and two FC men.

Ten of the martyred soldiers were identified as Safdar Ali, Asad Bashir, Ejaz Hussain, Atif Khan, Amanullah, Shah Zaman, Muhammad Javed, Tahas Ahmed, Basit Fareed and Imran Ahmed Farooqi.
