The Lahore High Court has issued an order to provide transport to the children after the winter vacation.
Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court issued a 3-page order on smog relief applications.
The Lahore High Court has ordered the schools to provide transport to the children after the winter vacation, while the court said that the department is giving final notices to the schools.
During the hearing, the court praised the steps taken by the transport department while the advocate general told the LHC that the Punjab government is taking steps to control smog and cases are being filed against those who burn crop residues.
The Punjab authorities on Monday announced winter vacations for schools across the province.
A notification from Secretary of Schools Punjab Khalid Nazir Wattoo has confirmed the development stating that schools will observe a 20-day winter break during this period.
The announcement comes as the region prepares for the colder months, with students and parents awaiting the school holiday schedule.
The vacation will apply to all public and private educational institutions in the province.
