Sindh to launch E-Taxi programme for youth
The Sindh government on Tuesday announced to launch an e-taxi programme aimed to provide employment opportunities to the youth.
Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon shared the details of the programme at a press conference in Karachi.
He said that it will enable the youth to become taxi owners through the subsidy scheme.
Under the program, the expenses of e-taxis will be distributed among the banks, the Sindh government and the participants themselves.
Memon said that this scheme has been designed to empower our youth by making them self-reliant, by paying a small amount, they will be able to own and drive their taxis.
In his address, the federal minister also criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) November 24 protest, claiming that the PTI failed to gain popularity in Sindh.
