Grave charges officially fixed in Karachi

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab fixed the official charges for a grave at the city’s registered cemeteries.
The mayor said that a rate of Rs14,300 has been set for burial at registered cemeteries and in this connection banners of the fixed rate have also been put up in all registered cemeteries.
Murtaza Wahab said that those who work at graveyards have been obliged to work under the fixed rate, if anyone takes more than the fixed rate, strict action will be taken against them.
A complaint should be lodged against those who receive the money on 1339.
He said that decisive action has also been taken against the grave demolition mafia and no one is allowed to work in the graveyard without KMC registration.
