Noted playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar has recently made a revelation in a podcast that has created a stir in showbiz circles. For the first time, he has announced his marriage to actor Faisal Qureshi’s ex-wife.
The writer revealed his marriage to Faisal Qureshi’s ex-wife when he was a participant in the podcast show of renowned journalist Irshad Bhatti.
During the podcast, Irshad Bhatti asked an interesting question to Khalilur Rehman Qamar regarding his popular play “Mere Paas Tum Ho”. He said that in the play, a woman leaves her husband and goes to another man, but the wife of an actor in one of your plays (Faisal Qureshi) also left her and married you. Was that inspired by your life story?
He described Faisal Qureshi as his close friend and said that he was the one who introduced the actor to showbiz. The writer praised Faisal Qureshi’s performance saying that he is a wonderful actor and he surprised him in the audition.
However, Khalilur Rehman Qamar then said what everyone was waiting for. He admitted that he was married to Faisal Qureshi’s ex-wife, but insisted that he was not the reason for Faisal’s divorce.
