Now air pollution can be used as fuel
Scientists have created a solar-powered device that can extract air pollution and turn it into fuel for cars and planes.
The team of researchers from the University of Cambridge has created this new reactor inspired by waste composition, which does not require any wire or battery to convert carbon dioxide in the atmosphere into sun gas.
Researchers say that this reactor provides an alternative to existing carbon distillation and storage technologies (CSS) while offering a new solution for the climate crisis.
CCS is considered a way to reduce or eliminate the effects of climate change, and recently the British government has allocated 22 billion pounds for this technology.
The current CCS method has been criticised for its high energy consumption, as well as concerns about storing underground pressurized carbon dioxide.
