Uzbekistan opens work visa opportunities for Pakistanis – Check protector fee

18 February, 2025 14:25

Pakistani nationals can now apply for employment in Uzbekistan as the government has lifted the ban on work visas. Previously, Pakistanis were not permitted to seek jobs in the Central Asian country.

According to reports, the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment issued a circular stating that the Pakistani Embassy in Tashkent recommended lifting the employment ban.

After reviewing the request, the restriction was officially removed, and all protectorate offices have been instructed to resume the registration process.

For overseas employment, Pakistani workers must get their work visas protected before traveling. The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment ensures legal protection and full assistance from Pakistan missions in the host country.

Protector Fee for Uzbekistan Work Visa

The Bureau offers two fee structures:

Employment through Overseas Employment Promoter: The total protector fee is Rs22,200, with an additional Rs6,000 for processing cases.

Direct Employment: The total fee is Rs9,200, covering Rs4,000 for the OPF fund, Rs2,500 for insurance, Rs2,500 for registration, and Rs200 for the OEC fee.

This development is expected to create new job opportunities for Pakistanis seeking employment in Uzbekistan. For further details, applicants are advised to check the official website of the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment.
