Huawei expands air gesture file transfer to more devices

Huawei is continuing to innovate with its Air Gesture File Transfer feature, which is now available on a wider range of devices following the release of HarmonyOS NEXT’s latest update. Initially generating buzz in tech circles, this feature allows users to effortlessly transfer files between Huawei devices using simple hand gestures.

Huawei Devices Now Supporting Air Gesture File Transfer

Previously, the Air Gesture File Transfer feature was limited to select models such as the Mate 70, Pura 70, and Mate 60 series. However, Huawei has now extended its compatibility to a broader range of smartphones, including the Nova 13 series, Nova 12, and Nova 12 Pro, among others.

The full list of Huawei devices now supporting Air Gesture File Transfer includes:

  • Huawei Mate 70 series
  • Huawei Pura 70 series
  • Huawei Mate 60 series
  • Huawei Nova 12 Ultra
  • Huawei Nova 12 Ultra Star Edition
  • Huawei Mate X6
  • Huawei Pocket 2
  • Huawei Mate X5
  • Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2
  • Huawei MatePad Pro 11 (2024 edition)

Additionally, Huawei has confirmed that more devices will be able to use this feature with future HarmonyOS NEXT updates.

To enjoy the benefits of Air Gesture File Transfer, users must have one of the compatible devices listed above. For those with non-compatible devices, Huawei advises checking for the latest HarmonyOS NEXT updates, as the feature is likely to be rolled out to more models in the future.

This gesture-enabled file-transfer functionality is part of Huawei’s continuous efforts to enhance user experience through its HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.126 public beta update.
