7 Punjab-bound passengers gunned down in Balochistan’s Barkhan

Gunmen offloaded seven passengers from a bus bound for Faisalabad and shot them down after seeing their identity cards in Barkhan area of Balochistan .

The incident took place on the highway connecting Rakhni with Dera Ghazi Khan, where 10 to 12 terrorists stopped the passenger bus going from Quetta to Faisalabad, identified seven passengers brought them down and shot them.

The deceased belonged to different cities of Punjab. Assistant Commissioner Barkhan Khadim Hussain said that seven passengers of the bus were shot dead.

According to the Assistant Commissioner, the bus was going from Quetta to Faisalabad.  Levies and FC have cordoned off the area.

The bodies were shifted to Rakhni Hospital.

Zeeshan, a passenger of the bus, told the media that 10,12 armed men stopped the bus and then shot dead seven passengers.

He said that his brother Adnan was also removed from the bus and killed. The brother was removed from the bus after seeing the identity card.

Apart from this, the passenger women of the victim’s family also said that we were going from Quetta to Faisalabad. They saw our brother’s identity card and were pushed out of the bus, they added.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has condemned the brutal killing of seven passengers in Barkhan and said that terrorists are targeting innocent and unarmed people.

He said that the cowardly attack of the enemies of peace is intolerable, a strong response will be given.
