Pakistani student Inara wins gold medal at International Kangaroo Science Competition Global

Inara has made Pakistan proud by winning a gold medal at the Stemco Science Global Finals in Singapore. She was one of only two Pakistani students to win gold, competing in the Grade 1-4 category.

Stemco had arranged the International Kangaroo Science Competition Global final from 12th to 17th Feb 2025. The award ceremony and result announcement was on 16th Feb.

The first step was to qualify for the Global finals by competing with 1000s of students within the country. Only 15 Pakistani students qualified to travel to Singapore for the final round.

Inara, 8, qualified for IKSC global round when she was in grade 2.

A total of 177 participants from 13 countries participated in the contest. Pakistan was represented by 15 students. Pakistan had won 2 gold medals – Inara being from grade 1 to 4 and the other from 5 to 8.

The competition was intense—thousands of students first had to qualify within their own countries. Only 15 Pakistani students made it to the finals, where they competed against 177 participants from 13 countries.

The STEMCO Science Global Finals, held from February 12-17, 2025, at the National University of Singapore, brought together young scientists from around the world to compete and showcase their skills. This prestigious event is a platform to encourage young minds toward excellence in science and innovation.

Notably, these students had already demonstrated outstanding performance in the International Kangaroo Science Competition in Pakistan, organized by Creative Learning Services under the leadership of Mr. Awais Naeem Mughal, CEO.

Inara’s success is not just a personal achievement—it’s an inspiration for young girls in STEM, proving that Pakistani girls can compete at the highest levels and shine on the global stage.
