PM Shehbaz Chairs First Meeting of National Agricultural and Food Security Council

The prime minister highlighted the livestock sector’s significant potential to boost Pakistan’s exports, stressing the need to expand international markets for Pakistani products. He said the federal government was taking measures to increase halal meat exports, which could contribute to export growth and generate economic opportunities for the country.

Shehbaz Sharif assured the provinces that the federal government would extend all possible cooperation to promote agricultural development. He emphasized coordinated efforts between the federal and provincial governments to improve agricultural productivity, facilitate farmers and harness the country’s agricultural and livestock potential to strengthen the national economy.
