Why Shreya Ghoshal ashamed of her hit song ‘Chikni Chameli’

Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has admitted that she is ashamed of her super hit song ‘Chikni Chameli’.

The singer admitted in an interview that she is ashamed of her super hit song ‘Chikni Chameli’ made on Katrina Kaif in the 2012 film Agneepath, which was a chartbuster but when young girls sing it without understanding the lyrics, it makes them uncomfortable.

Shreya said that she chooses the song very carefully and she also takes care that the poetry of the song is well written, it is not a bad thing to celebrate being a woman but the songs should not be written in this way.

The Indian singer further said that most of the item songs are written by men, if a woman writes an item song, she writes better, it is just a matter of perspective.

She said that it is important to set some standards in our society, especially in India, because music and films have a huge impact on our lives.
