New actors spend more time on make up than script: Tauqeer Nasir

Pakistan showbiz industry’s senior actor Tauqeer Nasir has given a piece of advice to new actors.

Nasir worked in the golden era of Pakistan Television (PTV) and did more than 500 roles, while he was also awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the government in 1999.

Recently, the senior actor attended a private TV comedy show where he recalled the era of PTV along with acting.

“We were lucky to work with Ashfaq Ahmed and Yawar Hayat, they used to sit with us and teach us and make us rehearse strictly, ” the actor said.

Nasir said that in today’s era, actors do not rehearse and go towards easy routes. Nowadays girls spend 2 hours on makeup, if they spend time on the script, then better work will be seen, he advised.
