All-rounder Aamer Jamal faces heavy fine

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday reported imposed a heavy fine on all-rounder Aamer Jamal and other for violating disciplinary guidelines.

As per report, a total of PKR 3.3 million fine was imposed on players, included Rs1.4 million alone on Jamal for writing 804 on his cap during England and South Africa series.

Aamer Jamal received the heaviest fine of PKR 1.4 million for writing ‘804’ on his Test cap, a number linked to former cricketer and ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The PCB cited violation of neutrality rules as the reason for the penalty.

Meanwhile, Pakistan new T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shahfique were fined Rs500,000 each for returning late to the hotel during Pakistan’s Australia tour.

While, Sufiyan Muqeem, Abbas Afridi, and Usman Khan were fined $200 each for a minor delay in South Africa, though their fines were later revoked following Pakistan’s ODI series win.
