Pakistan rejects Modi’s ‘misleading’ statement on Kashmir
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office has strongly rejected the recent statement by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Kashmir, terming it “misleading” and contrary to historical realities.
In an official statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that despite India’s claims, the Kashmir issue remains unresolved even after seven decades.
“India cannot divert attention from its state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan and human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK),” the spokesperson stated.
The statement further accused India of involvement in cross-border sabotage, including targeted killings and destabilization efforts in foreign countries.
The spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to resolving all outstanding disputes through meaningful and result-oriented dialogue.
“India must put an end to its anti-Pakistan rhetoric and engage in constructive discussions for regional peace and stability,” the Foreign Office emphasised.
