Device invented to clean water on moon

Scientists in the UK have invented a device inspired by microwaves that can make drinking water on the moon. Scientists have won a prize of $150,000 by making this device.
Naicker Scientific, a Goulstershire-based company, has developed an innovative system that can clean the water under the moon’s land.
Inspired by kitchen microwave technology, the SonoCam system uses microwaves and ultrasounds to defrost and dissolve contaminated compounds in water distilled from the moon’s frozen soil.
This technology can create clean drinking water for astronauts, which is an important step for long-term lunar missions.
Lolan, the company’s technical director, said they have tried to solve the problem of water in a temperature of minus 200 Celsius, where there is a complete vacuum, very low gravity and very little electrical energy.
