Forbes list of richest people: Who is the richest person?

US magazine Forbes has released the list of the world’s richest people for 2025, in which Tesla owner Elon Musk has once again been named the world’s richest person.

Elon Musk’s wealth increased by 75 per cent during 2024, making him the world’s richest person in the Forbes list once again.

Earlier in 2024, Bernard Arnault of France was named the world’s richest person.

In the new list, Musk has become the world’s richest person with $ 342 billion and this is the first time that a person has become the richest person in the world with such a lot of wealth.

According to Forbes’ 39th annual list, there are currently 3,028 billionaires worldwide, which is the highest number in history.

In one year, 247 people became billionaires.

According to the report, the wealth of the world’s billionaires increased by $2,000 billion in a year and they have a total of more than $16,000 billion.

In the list, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was ranked second richest person in the world with $ 2016 billion and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was the third richest person with $ 2015 billion.

Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison ($192 billion), Bernard Arnault ($178 billion), Warren Buffett ($154 billion), Google co-founder Larry Page ($144 billion) and Sergey Brin ($138 billion).

Spain-based Emancio Ortega came in 9th place with $124 billion, while former Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer was ranked 10th with $118 billion.
