Pakistan’s Economy Shows Stability and Rising Confidence in July 2026

Pakistan’s economy showed positive signs in July 2026, with improvements seen in remittances, foreign exchange reserves, the current account and tax collection.

Remittances from overseas Pakistanis increased to $3.63 billion in July, providing support to the country’s external position.

The State Bank of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves also rose to $17.08 billion, which is considered a positive sign for meeting external payment needs.

The current account deficit fell by 38% year-on-year to $328 million in July. The Pakistani rupee also remained relatively stable against the US dollar during the month.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs810 billion in taxes in July, exceeding the monthly target.

Overall, the latest economic figures point to improved financial discipline, greater economic stability and a gradual recovery in investor confidence. The government is continuing economic reforms and efforts to strengthen the country’s external position and achieve sustainable economic growth.
