Sony TV confirms ACP Pradyuman is ‘dead’ as Shivaji Satam exits CID

ACP Pradyuman of Sony TV’s CID has been killed off on the show, leading to angry reactions from fans.

Fans’ worst fears have come true as ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, an icon of Indian television, is indeed dead.

ACP Pradyuman, since 1998, is the protagonist of CID, one of the longest-running shows in the world.

In the previous CID episode showed the senior police office dying in an blast, with reports emerging that Shivaji Satam wanted a break.

Sony TV in a social media post confirmed rumours about the death of ACP Padyuman, leading to outrage from the fans.

Yesterday, Sony TV shared a photo of ACP Pradyuman on Instagram with the caption: “In the loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… A loss that will never be forgotten. End of an era. ACP Pradyuman (1998-2025).”
