Misbah-ul-Haq Resigns from PCB Selection Committee

LAHORE: Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has resigned as a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection committee, according to sources.

Sources said Misbah-ul-Haq submitted his resignation to the PCB via email.

According to sources, Misbah was not consulted over the composition of Pakistan’s squad for the England series.

Sources said he was unhappy with the lack of consultation in selection matters and subsequently decided to step down from the committee.

The development comes amid growing questions over team selection and decision-making within Pakistan cricket.

Meanwhile, the PCB has removed Sarfaraz Ahmed from the position of head coach following a string of disappointing results.

The decision comes as Pakistan continues to face difficulties during the England series, with changes also being made within the team management and selection setup.

According to sources, seven Pakistani players were sent back home during the England series.

Misbah-ul-Haq’s resignation, along with changes in the coaching setup, has brought renewed attention to the PCB’s selection process and the way decisions regarding the national team are being made.
