Balochistan Football Cup Opens as Pakistan Advances Sports and Blue Economy Initiatives

QUETTA: Sports activities have gained momentum in Balochistan with the opening of the Sixth All Pakistan Chief Minister Balochistan Football Gold Cup at Ayub Sports Complex in Quetta.

The tournament brings together football teams from across Pakistan, with the competition aimed at promoting sports and providing young players with opportunities to showcase their talent.

The opening match featured Baloch Club Nushki and Afghan Club Chaman. Earlier tournament preparations had identified the two clubs for the opening fixture.

Balochistan Sports Secretary Dura Baloch and Director General Sports Yasir Bazai were among the officials involved in preparations for the competition.

According to the information provided for the tournament, 81 teams are participating in this year’s edition.

The winning team will receive Rs3 million, while the runner-up will receive Rs1.5 million and the third-placed team Rs500,000.

The tournament is part of efforts to promote sports activities and encourage young people to participate in healthy and constructive activities.
