All economic indicators are positive, Dar tells Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is entering a new era of economic development.
Addressing the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 in Islamabad, the deputy prime minister said that all the economic indicators are positive and the international institutions are also acknowledging Pakistan’s economic development.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan, rich in natural resources, has huge reserves of gold and copper, more and more investment is needed to utilize mineral resources.
It should be noted that today is the inaugural day of Pakistan Mineral Forum 2025 with the assistance of SIFC, which will consist of three important sessions while tomorrow (April 9), there will be detailed sessions and panel discussions on Reko Diq.
A comprehensive session on Reko Diq will take place on April 9, in which global experts and project leaders will highlight its progress and prospects.
Shen Shaoyang of Zijin Mining, Syed Basar Sheb of IHC, and Muhammad Ali Taba will discuss Pakistan’s mineral development in the panel discussions.
Muhammad Ali Taba of National Refinery Limited and DG, FWO will deliver an important five-minute briefing session on exploration.
Saudi Geological Survey CEO Abdullah al-Shamrani and global experts will discuss mineral mapping and the importance of geological surveys for emerging economies.
Bernd Tegler, Dr. Wang Hongliang, Dr. Paul and Dr. Peter Zawada will share global surveys and experiences from developing countries.
