Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has announced the launch of Pakistan’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) University in Lahore, marking a major step forward in modernizing the country’s education system. The announcement was made during her speech at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 in Turkey.
She highlighted that the AI university will help prepare Pakistani youth for a smarter, technology-driven future. “We are changing the landscape of learning by integrating AI-based education to meet the demands of the 21st century,” she said.
Maryam Nawaz also emphasized the importance of girls’ education and called for global unity in ensuring educational rights for all, especially in conflict-hit regions. She praised Turkey’s First Lady Emine Erdoğan and the Maarif Foundation for organizing the forum.

She also announced the “Nawaz Sharif Internet City,” aimed at supporting digital growth in Pakistan.
In her address, Maryam Nawaz shed light on the suffering of children in conflict zones such as Palestine, Afghanistan, Kashmir, and Sudan. She ended her speech with a strong message: “Education is not just curriculum—it is a healing force.”
Her vision focuses on inclusive, just, and future-ready education for every child in Pakistan.
