Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum star Naeema Butt is pulling back the curtain on the not-so-glamorous reality behind the entertainment industry. Known for her powerful performance as Rubab in the hit drama, Naeema recently got candid during an appearance on Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry, shedding light on the fake friendships that often dominate the showbiz world.
“I have seen that people are just being fake friends for Instagram or at least that is what my experience was regarding the industry’s inner working,” she admitted.
While Naeema Butt didn’t drop any names, her comments strongly hinted at tension with her co-stars from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. She revealed how social media praise from fellow actors felt supportive at first, especially as a newcomer, but turned out to be surface-level. “A lot of things happened but I don’t want to get into it,” she added, keeping the details vague but pointed.
She even shared how, during public events, the same co-stars who appeared friendly online were “actively trying to push her off the stage.”
Host Vasay Chaudhry chimed in, saying this kind of behavior is all too common: “This competitiveness lingers between co-actors and contemporaries even if you have been in the business for 10 to 15 years.”
Despite off-screen tensions, Naeema continues to earn praise from fans for her bold on-screen persona and refreshing honesty. Her remarks have sparked buzz online, as many applaud her for calling out the industry’s fake social dynamics.
