‘Cross-Country Killer’ Glen Rogers Finally Faces Execution After 25+ Years

16 April, 2025 18:37

Tallahassee, Florida – Convicted double murderer Glen Edward Rogers, suspected in multiple homicides across the U.S., has been scheduled for execution on May 15 under a death warrant signed by Governor Ron DeSantis.

The 62-year-old will die by lethal injection at Florida State Prison for the 1995 murder of Tina Marie Cribbs – one of five executions carried out in Florida this year.

Rogers, a drifter linked to killings in at least nine states, was convicted in two brutal murders:

🔴 Florida (1995)

  • Met Tina Marie Cribbs, 34, at a Gibsonton bar
  • Her stabbed body was found in a hotel bathroom days later

🔴 California (1995)

  • Killed Sandra Gallagher, 33, after meeting her in Van Nuys
  • Her burned corpse was discovered in her truck near Rogers’ apartment

“He left a trail of blood across America,” said former FBI profiler Clint Van Zandt, who tracked Rogers’ suspected cross-country killing spree.

While only convicted of two murders, Rogers remains a prime suspect in:
✔ The 1995 slaying of Andy Sutton in Mississippi
✔ The disappearance of Linda Price in Kentucky
✔ The murder of Sharon Rogers (no relation) in Louisiana

His brother, Clay Rogers, testified that Glen boasted about killing “over 70 women” – though investigators confirm ties to at least five deaths.

Rogers’ execution marks Florida’s fifth lethal injection this year:

  • March 20: Edward James executed for killing a child and grandmother (1993)
  • February 13: James Dennis Ford executed for murdering a fishing couple (1997)
  • April 8: Michael Tanzi executed for a 2000 Keys kidnapping-murder

Governor DeSantis has prioritized clearing death row, signing warrants at a pace unseen since 2014.

Rogers’ attorneys have 30 days to file appeals, though previous attempts failed. Meanwhile, Cribbs’ sister told The Tampa Tribune: “After 28 years, we’ll finally see justice. Tina was more than just another victim—she was a light.”
