Terror not main issue, narrative is :CM Balochistan
Narrative is main issue
The Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Sarfaraz Bugti has said that the forces will deal with terrorists in Balochistan. The real challenge for us is not separatist terrorists but the narrative.
Addressing a seminar organized by the Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Memorial Society in Lahore, Bugti said that the term “angry Baloch” is not ours but that of the confused intellectuals of Punjab.
The Balochistan CM further added that terrorists want to spread chaos and disorder, Islam has nothing to do with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and TTP has nothing to do with Islam, I stand with those women whose sons and husbands were taken off buses and killed, I will not stand with a woman who follows a specific agenda under the guise of human rights.
Additionally, terrorists will regroup whenever given a chance. They want to break Pakistan with the power of guns. The fight was started by them, not the state. The solution to the Balochistan problem is to provide resources to the younger generation. We are providing jobs to the youth on merit.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Afghanistan’s interim Prime Minister (PM) Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhundza and his Afghan counterpart Amir Khan Muttaqi amid Pak-Afghan talks in Kabul, during which they discussed in detail bilateral issues, including security.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the meeting also discussed in detail issues of mutual interest, including public relations. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to high-level exchanges to further strengthen fraternal relations.
