Television actor Lalit Manchanda, best known for his appearances in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Crime Patrol, has passed away at the age of 36. His death was confirmed by the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) on Tuesday through a public condolence post.
According to Indian media reports, Lalit had recently returned to Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, from Mumbai. He was found dead at his home on Monday, April 21. Police officials stated that the actor died by suicide, although no note was recovered from the scene.
Authorities responded swiftly and transported his body for a postmortem examination. So far, no signs of foul play or external involvement have been found.
