Archduke Alexander & Countess Natacha Split?

23 April, 2025 16:32

The fairytale wedding of Countess Natacha Roumiantzoff-Pachkevitch and Archduke Alexander of Austria, once called the “society wedding of the year,” has come to an unexpected end.

Just 18 months after their glamorous ceremony in Belgium, sources say the royal couple have separated. The wedding had drawn many noble guests including Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, Prince Joachim of Belgium, and Countess Diane de Nassau.

Natacha walked down the aisle in a stunning white long-sleeved gown. She described Alexander at the time as “the man of her dreams.”

But by the end of 2024, things had changed. A close source revealed that the couple quietly split late last year. Their marriage officially ended recently. Natacha has now gone back to using her maiden name, Natacha Roumiantzoff.

She also changed her social media titles last week, further confirming the end of the royal chapter in her life.

Natacha, who comes from Russian noble roots, runs her own event business called RPZ Events. She is now based in Geneva, Switzerland, where she plans weddings, corporate functions, and anniversary parties.

According to the source, the former couple didn’t spend the recent holidays together. Natacha instead hosted an “Anti-Valentine’s Weekend” in Ollons, Switzerland.

She shared a post on Valentine’s Day announcing her ski touring weekend event was completely sold out. The trip ran from February 14 to 16. She wrote, “Thrilled to announce that our event is now sold out. A huge thank you to everyone who signed up – we can’t wait to share this incredible weekend with you.”

The event was held in collaboration with several businesses, including Läderach, the famous Swiss chocolate brand. There is no mention if Alexander attended or was invited.

This year’s Valentine’s post was a major contrast to 2024. Back then, she had shared a throwback photo from their wedding day with the romantic song “The Best Is Yet To Come.”

In November 2023, just two months after their wedding, Natacha had also posted a joyful picture of the couple. She wrote, “Extremely happy to have married the man of my dreams and organised my own wedding. What a beautiful personal and professional experience. Our wedding was a masterpiece! Who’s next?”

Now, she seems focused on her career. Natacha recently shared photos from another luxury event she organized. She continues to promote RPZ Events, using her five-language fluency to connect with global clients.

Both Natacha and Archduke Alexander have not publicly commented on the split.

In other sad royal news, Archduchess Estelle of Austria passed away in March 2025 at the age of 46. She was the wife of Archduke Carl Christian and mother of five children.

She died of cancer, as reported by French outlet Point De Vue. The funeral took place on March 12 at the Cimiez Monastery in Nice, France.

Royal figures like Princess Astrid of Belgium, Prince Charles of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, and Princess Marie-Astrid of Luxembourg attended the service. Estelle’s children lit candles for her as Ave Maria was played.

Her family shared the news in Carnet du Figaro, writing: “Her husband, children, parents, and in-laws are deeply saddened to announce that Archduchess Estelle of Austria, née Lapra de Saint Romain, was called to God on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.”

The recent events have left many European royal watchers surprised and saddened, showing that even those in castles can face heartbreak.
