Gaza: Israeli airstrikes martyr 55 more Palestinians in 24 hours

25 April, 2025 14:30

Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have intensified, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 55 Palestinians in a single day, as the military offensive shows no signs of slowing down.

International news outlets report that refugee camps, schools, hospitals, and marketplaces have all been struck, causing widespread destruction and high civilian casualties.

The latest wave of bombings has forced thousands more to flee their homes, particularly in northern Gaza, where Israeli authorities have issued fresh evacuation orders. The humanitarian crisis in the region continues to deteriorate, with essential infrastructure in ruins and critical services unable to operate.

According to the United Nations, since the conflict escalated in October 2023, more than 50,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, including over 1,060 healthcare workers. Beyond the immediate threat of violence, the people of Gaza now face long-term devastation to their economy, healthcare system, and overall infrastructure.

Despite mounting international condemnation of the offensive and urgent calls for a ceasefire and humanitarian access, Israel’s military campaign presses on. Appeals for restraint and an end to the violence have so far gone unheeded, as the civilian death toll continues to climb daily.
