School Holidays: Punjab announce schedule for summer vacations 2025

There’s good news for students — in this extreme heat, they will not have to attend school anymore. The Punjab Education Department has officially announced summer vacations.

Due to the rising temperatures in the province, the Education Department has decided to start vacations earlier. According to the official notification, summer holidays in schools will begin from June 1.

Secretary of School Education, Khalid Nazir Wattoo, informed the media that if the heat becomes even more intense, the current schedule might be changed.

He explained that if temperatures rise unusually high, the holidays could start one week earlier. This decision has been made keeping in mind the health and safety of students, parents, and teachers, as extreme heat can affect children’s ability to study.
