Afghan FM meets Indian representative to discuss trade, diplomacy

Afghan Interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met with India’s Special Representative for Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan Anand Prakash to discuss bilateral political and trade relations and the regional situation.
According to the Afghan Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, Amir Khan Muttaqi stressed the need to increase Indo-Afghan diplomatic and trade relations and invited Indian investors to invest in Afghanistan.
Amir Khan Muttaqi also demanded that India restore visa services for Afghan businessmen, students and patients. Amir Khan Muttaqi said that Afghanistan currently has favorable investment opportunities in various sectors, which Indian investors should take advantage of.
The Afghan media reported that the Indian delegate described relations with Afghanistan as important and expressed interest in investing in various projects in Afghanistan.
