India making case for military action against Pakistan: New York Times

28 April, 2025 11:45

The New York Times has claimed that India seems to be making its case for attacking Pakistan.

After the Pahalgam incident, India called diplomats of 100 foreign missions to the Ministry of External Affairs and briefed them.

According to the newspaper, Indian officials said that their investigation is underway, they made brief references to technical intelligence, including facial recognition data of those responsible for the Pahalgam incident.

According to analysts and diplomats, India could not provide any concrete evidence related to the incident in this briefing.

According to the New York Times, the lack of concrete evidence so far indicates one in two possibilities that India needs more time to gather information.

Four diplomats familiar with the briefings said New Delhi appeared to be making a case for military action against its neighbour and traditional enemy.

On the other hand, the Indian media is also claiming that India intends to target targets inside Pakistan.

Speaking on a local TV show, the relevant sources have said that if India does any misadventure against Pakistan, Pakistan will not only thwart any such attack, but in response, Pakistan has also set hundreds of targets across the border, which will be targeted within minutes.
