Indian Actress Navina Bole Accuses Director Sajid Khan of Harassment

Indian television actress Navina Bole has accused renowned director Sajid Khan of sexual harassment.

Navina, who is famous for her role as Dr. Monika in the hit show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, shared her story with the media, revealing a disturbing encounter with Sajid Khan. She claimed that during a meeting, Khan made an inappropriate request, asking her to strip and wear a two-piece outfit so he could assess her “comfort level.”

In an interview, Navina Bole accused Sajid Khan of harassment, explaining that the incident occurred between 2004 and 2006 while she was taking part in the “Gladrags” contest. She recalled being excited when she was invited by Sajid Khan, but was surprised to learn that the meeting would be held at his home rather than at his office. However, she felt slightly reassured knowing that someone was waiting outside when she arrived.

Navina recounted that Sajid Khan said, “You performed in a bikini on stage, so what’s the problem with doing it here?” She quickly rejected his request, telling him that although she could wear a bikini at home if absolutely necessary, it wasn’t appropriate in this situation. Fortunately, she managed to leave the meeting without any further issue.

Navina also revealed that about a year later, during her participation in the “Mrs. India” pageant, Sajid Khan reached out to her again, acting as if nothing had happened.

It’s important to note that Sajid Khan has faced several allegations of sexual harassment during India’s #MeToo movement. In 2018, multiple women, including actresses Saloni Chopra, Sherlyn Chopra, Aahana Kumra, and Mandana Karimi, accused him of misconduct, with nearly nine industry figures speaking out against him.
