Drama ‘Mehshar’ Ends on Tragic Note, Fans Express Disappointment
The popular drama serial Mehshar, featuring the beloved Emraan-e-Junoon duo Neelam Muneer Khan and Imran Abbas Naqvi, came to a sorrowful end with its final episode airing today. The show, produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and directed by Syed Ramish Rizvi, also starred Sidra Niazi, Rizwan Jaffri, Mirza Zain Baig, Usman Peerzada, and others. Written by Aamra Shahid, Mehshar followed the story of cousins Aima and Abdul Rehman, whose marriage was tested by emotional and societal challenges.
The Mehshar end opened with a heart-wrenching scene at a graveyard, revealing Aima’s death—a moment that stunned viewers and Abdul Rehman alike. The tragic ending didn’t sit well with many fans who took to social media to express their frustration.
“Aima should not have died in the drama, and Abdul Rehman should have received his punishment,” one user wrote, while another said, “Aima’s death was Abdul Rehman’s real punishment.” A disappointed viewer added, “It was a bad ending. They shouldn’t have killed Aima, as it was unfair to Abdullah, who deserved the love of both parents.”
Some also criticized the production choices, saying, “What is this? Why did they show only crying at the end?” Another comment read, “The music was so overpowering that we couldn’t properly hear the dialogues.”
Here’s how viewers responded:
Despite the mixed reactions, Neelam Muneer received praise from fans in Bangladesh for her beauty and strong performance throughout the series.
