Tamilore Odunsi, a 23-year-old British nursing student, was tragically stabbed to death in her Houston, Texas apartment just days before she was set to graduate. The incident occurred on April 28 around 3:50 p.m., according to Houston Police.
Officers conducted a welfare check at the southeast Houston apartment after a friend of Odunsi’s father raised concerns when the family couldn’t reach her. Upon arrival, police found blood on the back patio and entered the unit, where they discovered Odunsi on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A man, identified by The Daily Mail as her roommate, was found critically injured in a bedroom and was hospitalized. No suspects have been named, and the investigation is ongoing.
Odunsi had moved from the U.K. to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. On TikTok, she shared study tips and personal moments with over 30,000 followers under the username @tamidollars. Her final post, just a week before her death, showed her joyfully counting down to graduation: “BSN grad in 2 weeks… Vacations booked… I’m readyyyyyyyyyyyyy 🙂↕️.”
A GoFundMe campaign created to help return her body to the U.K. described her as “a beautiful soul, full of light, ambition and kindness.” The page added, “Tami had a special love for children and always dreamed of making a difference in young lives through her future work in healthcare.”
The Tamilore Odunsi death has left family, friends, and followers heartbroken over a life cut short at the edge of a promising future. Grief and support continue to pour in from across the world as loved ones seek justice and closure.
