Pakistan on High Alert for Cyberattacks, National Response Team Issues Warning
Islamabad: Cyberattack Threats Surface Amid Rising Pakistan-India Tensions.
The National Computer Emergency Response Team has issued an advisory warning of potential cyberattacks during the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India.
According to the advisory, hostile entities are actively attempting to target digital infrastructure through fake emails and malicious links aimed at deceiving the public.
Hackers are reportedly spreading suspicious links via social media and messaging apps, and may use QR codes to steal users’ personal information.
Both public and private institutions, as well as individual users, are at risk. The response team has urged citizens to remain vigilant and exercise caution online.
