Beauty influencer Valéria Pantoja dies suddenly after weight loss surgery

A beauty influencer from Brazil, Valéria Pantoja, tragically passed away. She had recently been recovering from weight loss surgery. Valéria, a mum of one, suddenly became very sick during the night. Her family rushed her to the hospital. Sadly, she was already unresponsive when they arrived.

Valéria had undergone bariatric surgery last year. This surgery helps people lose weight when they are facing serious health risks from obesity. However, her recovery did not go smoothly. A follower, Luh Sales, said that Valéria had been weak since the surgery.

Her sister-in-law spoke out after people started guessing what caused her death. She said, “She didn’t take her own life, and she didn’t fall down the stairs. We still don’t know the exact cause of death. The autopsy will tell us more.” She also shared that Valéria had been feeling very weak before she died.

Valéria worked as a beautician in Manaus, Brazil. She helped people feel more confident by offering services like Botox, lip fillers, and micropigmentation. On Instagram, she had over 12,700 followers. Her bio read: “I help you find the best version of yourself.”

One of her clients, influencer Caila Carim, was deeply affected. Caila had an appointment with Valéria on the same day she passed away. She shared a video of herself crying after hearing the sad news. Caila has over 287,000 followers on Instagram.

Many people have posted heartfelt messages online. One follower, Ana Paula, said Valéria had “contagious laughter” that will be remembered. Her daughter, Ana Cecília, wrote an emotional message too. She reminded people to love and value their mothers while they are still alive.

She said, “My mum always told me she loved me. Every night, before bed, she would say, ‘Daughter, I love you, okay? Never forget that.’” Ana added that losing a mother is one of the hardest things in life.

Valéria’s exact age was not shared by her family. The autopsy results will hopefully provide more information about what caused her sudden death.
