China Renames Places in Arunachal Pradesh After Indian Aggression Against Pakistan

15 May, 2025 10:51

China has decided to rename the places in Zangnan (Arunachal Pradesh) as an assertion of its sovereignty.

In a statement issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated, “Zangnan is historically, geographically, and administratively a part of China.”

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it is the internal matter of China to rename the places of Zangnan (Arunachal Pradesh) with Chinese names.

According to the ministry, “This step has been taken under China’s sovereign administrative jurisdiction.”

The purpose of this move is to highlight the region’s historical and cultural identity, the ministry added.

India considers Zangnan as part of its territory under the name Arunachal Pradesh, while China regards it as a region of southern Tibet.

Tensions between the two countries already exist over this issue.

Following Pakistan’s strong and effective response to Indian aggression, China’s clear stance on Zangnan is seen as a major setback for the Indian government, according to defense analysts.

Defense experts state that the Modi government has created disputes with nearly every country in the region, proving that the Indian leadership is an obstacle to regional peace.
