Jennifer Lopez Sustains Facial Injury During American Music Awards 2025 Rehearsals

Jennifer Lopez has hit an unexpected bump on her road to the 2025 American Music Awards. The Latin pop icon, set to host the ceremony at the BleauLive Theatre in Las Vegas on May 26, revealed she sustained a facial injury during rehearsals.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Atlas star shared a photo showing a painful-looking cut across the bridge of her nose. “So…this happened,” she wrote, giving fans a glimpse of the mishap. A follow-up snap showed Lopez icing the area, clearly taking the injury in stride.

Fortunately, the situation was quickly brought under control. J.Lo later thanked celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Diamond for his swift intervention. “Thank you for stitching me up, Dr. Diamond. A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new,” she captioned another update, assuring fans that she’s well on the mend.

Despite the scare, Jennifer Lopez is powering through, gearing up for what will be a highly anticipated comeback as AMA host. It’s been ten years since she last helmed the event in 2015, and excitement is building for her return to the iconic stage.

Though the injury was certainly untimely, it hasn’t dampened J.Lo’s spirit. If anything, her resilience is only adding to the anticipation for this year’s show.
