Captain Rachel Corsie Returns as Melissa Andreatta Names First Scotland Squad

Captain Rachel Corsie has been recalled to the Scotland women’s national team for the first time since July, following her recovery from a long-term knee injury. The announcement comes as new head coach Melissa Andreatta names her first squad ahead of the final two UEFA Nations League Group A1 matches.

Scotland will face Austria at home on 30 May, followed by an away clash against the Netherlands on 3 June, as they seek their first points in the campaign and aim to retain their spot in League A.

• Rachel Corsie, who has earned 154 caps, returns after featuring for Aston Villa in their season-ending 3-1 win over Brighton. The 35-year-old confirmed her national team hopes earlier this week on BBC Scotland’s Behind the Goals podcast.
