Who is Raven Bianca Buck? TikTok Mum Sentenced for Using Stolen ATO Funds on Lavish Lifestyle

15 May, 2025 19:54

May 15, 2025 – Queensland, Australia – A young TikTok mother Raven Bianca Buck broke down in tears as a court heard she spent stolen tax money on luxury items.

Raven Bianca Buck, 26, pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering in Beenleigh District Court on Thursday. Despite her crime, she will not serve time in jail.

How the Scam Worked

The court was told that Buck’s ex-boyfriend stole $151,000 from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) by filing false business activity statements. Over $700,000 worth of fake claims were denied by the ATO before the scheme was uncovered.

Buck received over $48,000 from the scam between May and October 2022, with the money transferred to her in 13 bank deposits.

Lavish Spending Spree

She quickly spent the stolen cash. In just one day, Buck:

  • Withdrew $25,000 in cash

  • Bought $6,000 worth of jewellery

  • Put $10,000 towards a Mercedes-Benz car

Crown Prosecutor Lauren Hall said Buck knew the money was suspicious, yet chose to spend it anyway. “She said he was doing dodgy stuff and that she didn’t ask him to be a criminal,” Hall told the court.

Courtroom Emotions

The young mother, who has over 16,500 TikTok followers, became emotional in court. She cried as her troubled past was revealed, including:

  • Mental health struggles

  • An abusive relationship

  • Her effort to support her child as a single mum with a stable job for the last three years

Judge Amanda McDonnell stopped the hearing briefly to offer Buck a tissue.

The Final Verdict

Judge McDonnell gave Buck an 18-month suspended sentence. She said Buck showed early signs of remorse and had no serious criminal record.

“You knew there was a big risk this was dirty money,” the judge said. “Spending it was reckless and unjustified.”

Buck left court in silence and declined to comment on the ruling.
