Miss Pakistan World Areej Chaudhry has made surprising revelations regarding the selection process in beauty contests.
In an interview with Independent Urdu, she accepted criticism with grace, stating that no one can silence anyone’s words.
Everyone has their own opinion, and I take criticism as a form of improvement.
Areej Chaudhry explained that the selection of a girl in a beauty contest is not based solely on physical beauty, but also involves several tasks that must be completed.
She further noted that in fact, the selection in beauty pageants is based 80 per cent on charitable work, depending on how much philanthropic work the contestant does in their country. Areej Chaudhry mentioned that participants are also given time for charitable activities. The better one performs in the tasks, the more points they earn.
Regarding winning the Miss Pakistan World title, Areej Chaudhry said that she is still proud of that achievement, as she worked very hard for it.
